At night when I work, as I often do, I have iTunes on shuffle and John Williams’ Main Title from Star Wars began to play. It’s been quite some time since I’ve heard it in all it’s glory. And as all this talk of the new films begins, I find myself very excited…

I have been jaded, cynical, and downright depressed at times in recent years. Working in the movie business isn’t the most inspiring of professions day in and day out. It’s an irony that all those things that draw all of us out here is seldom easily found. But that I can still get excited after all these years (and The Phantom Menace) speaks volumes of what Star Wars is.

Re: that previous entry:

The idea of it was ok, but the execution was not quite right. I’m aware of this. There it is in full view. Like myself, a work in progress – though that entry will remain incomplete. Hopefully I’ll get better.
